Øystein Ulleberg has his education in Mechanical Engineering, with a MSc from USA (1992), a PhD from Norway (1998), and a post.doc from Australia (2001-2002). He is employed as Principal Scientist at Institute for Energy Technology (www.ife.no) and part-time Associate Professor at the University of Oslo. His research on renewable energy and hydrogen systems includes supervision of Master and PhD students, publications in international scientific journals, and projects with industry and technology companies. Ulleberg has been responsible for several national and international R&D projects on renewable energy, hydrogen and fuel cells, including Norsk Hydro’s wind/hydrogen demonstration plant at the Utsira Island (Norway), HySA Systems (South Africa), and Hynor Lillestrøm (Norway). He is currently the Director of a newly established Norwegian research center on climate friendly energy; with focus on zero emission energy systems for transport (www.mozees.no).
